El Paso
After we left Abilene we headed straight to Carlsbad Caverns. When we arrived the sightseeing was beautiful. Instead of taking the elevator down to the caverns we hiked down and rode the elevator back up. We didn't stay to watch the bats fly because if we stayed in Carlsbad we would have had to tack on 3 more hours to our trip tomorrow. So instead we headed to El Paso and stayed in the Camino Real Hotel. We celebrated mom's birthday dinner at Anson 11. It was a perfect place to spend your birthday dinner because the food was delicious.
