Day 8 (APS)

Today served as a well deserved rest day for all!  We slept relatively late (7:40 am) and then set out to explore the University of Arizona.  It was such a neat campus, but boy was it HOT!  As we were walking, Jack stated that there was NO WAY he would ever be attending college here!  It is hot, however, there is no humidity, so very different from Beaufort.  As we searched for the softball fields, we got directions from a local who took us through the coliseum where we actually stumbled across Coach Candrea's office, UA's softball coach.  The girls had their pictures taken and told their friends that they were on a recruiting trip.  After our tour, I set out for the laundromat while Hall and the kids went to a Western wear store to see what trouble they could get into.  We met up later for a dip in the pool, naps,  and dinner at Gentle Ben's - a brewery by the hotel.  Great meal and lots of laughs as MC ordered the Grizzly dessert (cookie, brownie, ice cream, hot fudge AND whipped cream!) and enjoyed every minute of it!  I must say that we did give her a little help, but before long it was polished off!  Early night as we will be hitting the trail again early in the a.m.!
