Day 12 and 13- MC

Day 12: We got up early and left Sedona on our way to our final destination, Grand Canyon!  When we got to the Grand Canyon we went to go see it from Mathers Point and then just looked around the gift shop and visitors center! We then went to our campground and set up or tents and made dinner, Spaghetti! After dinner we hung out for a little until we went to bed because we had a big day hiking the Grand Canyon on Thursday! 

Day 13:  We decided it that it would be a good idea to hike to Skeleton Point on the South Kibab Trail. We left our campground a little after 6:30 and got on the bus to take us to the trail. When we got there we started off hiking it was easy of course because it was all downhill, but it wouldn't be easy coming back up!! It took us two hours to go down 3 miles to Skelton Point!  From there you could see the Colorado River, but we were still at least 2 miles away from it!  After lunch at Skeleton Point we then hiked back!  It was very hard to hike back, but we all did it! Dad, Jack, and I finished before Lillian and Mom so we waited on them and then headed to a cafe to have ice cream! After ice cream we went to our campground and took showers and made pizzas for dinner and we were all so tired that we fell asleep after dinner! We now are on our way back home east for our last week!  We are out of the Canyon heading towards Santa Fe, NM!
