Day 15 Heading East (APS)

Today we woke up to a great breakfast prepared by Hall and then set out to breakdown camp and repack the car- not an easy feat! Nonetheless, we were on the road by 9:30 a.m. and began our trip East!  Today we needed to get some miles in so we had lots of driving time. We did, however, make a few stops along the way. We couldn't resist stopping in Winslow, AZ to snap a picture while standing on the corner and had a great lunch at Dars Diner. We also made a quick stop at the Petrified Forest, but didn't stay too long. Jack was beginning to complain of an earache and Lil has had a bit of congestion, so we pushed on. We arrived in Santa Fe around 8 p.m. and went straight to dinner at Adelita's for a great Mexican meal. Afterwards, we checked into the Doubletree and crashed!  Tomorrow we will explore Santa Fe!
